About Me

Smiling therapist with dark short hair and clear rimmed glasses.

I am a qualified CBT therapist, who also draws on compassion focused therapy and mindfulness techniques. I specialise in working with people dealing with eating related difficulties and eating disorders, body image issues, anxiety, panic and agoraphobia. I provide affirmative therapy for the LGBTQIA+ community, and work adaptively with neurodiverse clients.

I work in an evidence based way, which means that I blend research-backed therapy with my clinical experience, and your own individual situation, values and preferences.

I aim to create a supportive, warm, and encouraging space where we can explore whatever issues you are dealing with, and find ways to (re)connect to a more positive sense of self and wellbeing.

I am based in Edinburgh, Scotland, and provide therapy online by video.

Therapies Offered

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) focuses on how our thoughts, behaviours, emotions, and physical sensations affect one another. CBT focuses on finding ways to change our thoughts and behaviours to improve our emotional experience.

Compassion Focused Therapy

Compassion focused therapy (CFT) focuses on building compassion towards ourselves and others, to reduce suffering, regulate emotion, and improve wellbeing. It is particularly helpful for people experiencing high levels of shame or self-criticism.

Mindfulness Techniques

Mindfulness focuses on developing the ability to pay more attention to the present moment, without becoming lost in, or carried away by, our thoughts.

Worried about a loved one?

Supporting someone who is struggling with their mental health can feel isolating, frightening, or overwhelming.

I provide focused, short-to-medium term support to those with a loved one who is struggling. This support is indivudally tailored to you and your situation, and can include topics such as gaining a better understanding what your loved one might be experiencing, what you might be able to do to support their healing, and how you can make sure to look after yourself while caring for someone else.

Please contact me to find out more information, or book a free intro call to see if I might be able to provide the kind of support you are looking for.
